2024 in Review
This year, we empowered hundreds of people through our educational workshops:
• We hosted three First Home Buyer workshops, helping attendees take confident first steps towards homeownership.
• We held our first-ever Investor Workshop, equipping aspiring property investors with the tools and knowledge to achieve their financial goals.
• Financial Literacy Workshops were launched this year, starting with Brisbane State High. Since then, we’ve visited many schools across Brisbane, teaching students practical financial skills to prepare them for the future.
Our popular Lunch and Learn sessions took us to businesses all over Brisbane this year. These informal sessions allowed us to connect with professionals, answer their property and finance questions and provide valuable insights to help them on their journey to financial freedom.
Giving back remained at the heart of everything we do at Madd. This year, we supported our community through sponsorships, donations and hands-on volunteering:
• Sponsored and volunteered at the Paniyiri Festival and the Cyprus Halloumi Festival, celebrating and supporting Brisbane’s vibrant Greek and Cypriot communities.
• Volunteered at the Children’s Hospital Easter Event, bringing smiles to the faces of kids and their families.
• Donated to Villanova College, continuing our tradition of providing an annual bursary to support a family in financial hardship.
• Sponsored the Superstars Concert, helping shine a light on the incredible talent in our community.
GROWTH & MILESTONES
2024 was a year of growth for the Madd family. We welcomed new team members across multiple departments, each bringing fresh energy to help us better serve our clients. From the Loans team to Financial Planning, our growing team reflects our commitment to providing exceptional service.
This year, we celebrated 13 years of Madd, marking more than a decade of helping Australians achieve their property and financial dreams. It’s a milestone that inspires us to keep making a difference daily.
We’re incredibly proud of the recognition the Madd team received in 2024:
- Madd Life won Practice of the Year at the AMAFA Conference in Queenstown.
- Madd Life were nominated for Financial Impact Team of the Year and Marketing Program of the Year at the 2024 IFA Excellence Awards.
- Our Commercial Team was a finalist for Commercial Mortgage Brokerage of the Year at the 2024 Commercial Finance Awards.
- Both Costa and Cathie were named finalists for Finance Broker of the Year (QLD/NT) at the FBAA Awards, with Cathie taking home the win.
- Madd was also a finalist for Brokerage of the Year (<5 Brokers) at the Connective Excellence Awards.
As we wrap up 2024, we’re excited to share updates on the growth and achievements of the Madd family. This month, we welcomed new team members who are already making an impact.
