Villanova College has always meant a lot to George. As a proud old boy of the College, any opportunity to return and contribute is something he values deeply. This month, he had the chance to speak to current students as part of a financial literacy workshop, sharing practical advice around money, mindset and making smart financial decisions early in life.

Standing in front of students who are not far from where he once stood, George reflected on the importance of learning about finance before stepping into the real world. The session focused on helping them build confidence, understand the basics and start thinking about their future from a place of knowledge. The energy in the room was great, with plenty of thoughtful questions and open discussion.

We also hosted a Lunch and Learn for the Villanova staff, creating space for conversations around personal finance, lending and strategies to grow and manage wealth. These sessions are designed to be useful, relevant and easy to engage with, giving people the chance to learn more about their options and walk away with practical takeaways they can apply to their own goals.

Every year, George also supports the Terry Hendle Bursary, which helps cover school fees for a Villanova family experiencing financial hardship. For George, this is more than a donation. It is a way of honouring the values that shaped him and ensuring that others can access the same opportunities, even during tough times.

Giving back to Villa is always a meaningful experience. Whether it is sharing knowledge, connecting with staff or supporting a family in need, it is a reminder of where the journey started and why it is so important to give back whenever you can.
