What an amazing night it was and with a spectacular result! The Madd Charity Ball helped to raise $200,000 on the 25th of November.
As a proud partner of the Children’s Hospital Foundation, handing over the cheque for $200,000 was a huge achievement and honour. We are so grateful to the 512 people who joined us on the night and contributed in the evening’s success.
Without our guests saying YES, we would never have been able to achieve what we achieved. We as the Madd Ball Committee still can’t believe that together as a community, we raised $200,000! Thank you for saying yes to being a sponsor, yes to donating a prize, yes to making a pledge, yes to being there, yes to supporting us and for believing in and for entrusting us. We are forever grateful.
George was raised believing, if you have the ability, then you have the responsibility and if you can, then you should. This is why we were committed to helping and organising the Charity Ball again in 2023.
George was first inspired after attending The Coffee Club’s 2019 Charity Ball. It was amazing; the lights, the entertainment, the people, the venue, the food, the atmosphere and seeing 1000 people (an entire community) in a room pledging and making a difference. He realised if he was ever in a position to do something like that, to help someone, to inspire other businesses, to come together as one, that is what he would do. Thus, in 2022, Madd created their first Charity Ball where $121,612 was raised and to see that number grow to $200,000 in just one year was an incredible feat!
