This month Cathie, Costa and I had the privilege of attending the inaugural ‘World Mortgage Broker Summit’ in Las Vegas, USA, thanks to an invitation from Peter White, the President of the Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA).
The summit provided a valuable opportunity to exchange insights with mortgage professionals from the USA, Canada, Ireland and Australia. A global concern that emerged was inflation, which has prompted many economies to adjust their interest rates. The prevailing sentiment suggests that we may see another rate hike this year and rates may remain elevated for longer than anticipated. I returned from the summit more convinced than ever that what we’re doing at Madd is truly unique, and I’m excited to apply the knowledge gained to better serve you, our valued customers. (FBAA).
In keeping with tradition, we participated in the Brisbane Home Show, an event we have been attending since our inception. It was an engaging experience where we had the chance to meet over 1,200 people. As always, we hosted a barbecue giveaway, but the real highlight was connecting with so many of you from the Madd family and the broader Brisbane community.
Last week, I took the team to Kingston Park Raceway for a team-building day. It was a fun-filled experience and a well-deserved break to celebrate our record-breaking quarter. On a lighter note, I came first in a field of 22 racers! If any of you are go-kart enthusiasts, perhaps we could set up a future race between Madd customers and staff?.
