10 INCREDIBLE YEARS!
This month, we had the honour of attending the Queensland Children’s Hospital 10th Birthday Long Lunch, a significant event held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre’s Plaza Ballroom. This celebration marked a decade of outstanding service in paediatric care, with Queensland Children’s Hospital recently ranked as the 10th best paediatric hospital in the world.
The event was a beautiful blend of reflection and celebration, hosted by Steve Titmus, Charli Robinson, Maxwell Shearer and Asha Soleil. It featured inspiring speeches from Jane Black, Chair of the Children’s Hospital Foundation, Lyndsey Rice, CEO of CHF and The Honourable Shannon Fentiman MP, Minister for Health. The day was made even more special with a performance by the Poco Voci Children’s Choir.
The Long Lunch also included the Children’s Hospital Hall of Fame Awards, which recognised and honoured the extraordinary supporters who have contributed over $500,000 in the past 10 years. These awards highlighted the critical role that donors, sponsors and partners play in achieving better outcomes for sick children. The Children’s Hospital Foundation’s mission to achieve the greatest possible impact with fundraising revenue would not be possible without the incredible generosity and commitment of these major supporters.
Madd is proud to be one of the committed partners of the Children’s Hospital Foundation. Over the years, our partnership has extended beyond financial support, with our team actively volunteering at events and hosting our own initiatives, like the annual Madd Ball. This event alone has raised over $300,000 for the Foundation, furthering the mission to improve the lives of sick kids across Queensland.
The 10th Birthday Long Lunch was not just a celebration of past achievements but a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when communities come together with a shared purpose. As we look back on a decade of dedication, we are even more motivated to continue our support for the Children’s Hospital Foundation and to play our part in creating a brighter, healthier future for children.
We are grateful for the opportunity to support such an important cause and to be part of a community that is making a difference in the lives of children and their families. Together, we look forward to many more years of partnership and progress, as we continue to work towards better outcomes for every child in need.
